Thank you for visiting my blog. This is just a short story of how I became a wedding photographer in Surrey, but before we get to the boring part, I thought I’d first share some of the good stuff with you!
So here’s a small selection of my recent wedding photography work!
And now for the boring part!…
Having grown up in Surrey, the idyllic county has always held a special place in my heart. In fact, it was possibly the beautiful Surrey hills that inspired me to pursue photography, because I view photography as the perfect way to capture everything from a wonderful view, to a special moment. It was my love of capturing the latter that evolved into a desire to become a wedding photographer in Surrey – to help others capture their unique moments in the unique scenery of my home county. In doing this, I enjoyed exploring popular Surrey wedding venues with a new perspective, searching for the most photogenic spots in stunning locations, such as Farnham Castle.
In order to achieve my dream of becoming a wedding photographer, I attended college in Surrey to study photography. It was at college that I discovered my unique photographic style; focusing on capturing reality and finding the ideal light to enhance an image. With my own newfound style, and professional skill set, I decided it was time to launch my own photography business in Surrey.
At first, I dabbled in lifestyle photography, as well as wedding photography; but, after getting married myself, I felt drawn to focus predominantly on wedding photography. Your wedding day should be the most special day of your life, and photos are one of the best ways to remember every moment. My subtle and discreet approach lends itself to capturing genuine candids to show the true personalities of my couples.
It was soon after my own wedding that I moved to Norfolk with my wife to start our family, which is where I have continued to grow my business. But now, with years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’m keen to return to Surrey to capture weddings in the scenery of my childhood. I have previously photographed weddings in many beautiful venues in Surrey, such as Pembroke Lodge, Woodlands Park, and Oatlands Park Hotel, therefore I can offer couples a local’s insight into these locations.
I would absolutely love to hear from any couples planning a wedding in Surrey! I’m also happy to offer advice or suggestions based on my previous experience as a wedding photographer throughout the county.
I regularly visit family and friends in Surrey, so I can easily arrange a consultation to discuss your special day.
So what do you think?
If you’re planning a wedding for yourself or even for somebody else, why not take a look at my wedding photography packages?
If you are living in Surrey and planning a wedding elsewhere, that’s absolutely fine because I’m happy to travel and photograph weddings all over the country.
If you’d like to have a good chat to discuss your plans, I’d be more than happy to hear from you. Please feel free to contact me anytime.
